Working with the legal clinic, my task is to aid migrants in any possible legal help they might need. Usually sitting at reception, I deal with a lot of walk-in legal advise sessions. These include: filing administrative appeals, applying for council housing, calling the Home Office on behalf of clients, referring clients to legal clinics/lawyers, contacting case and social workers, and applying for various government aid (ex: housing, universal credit). Additionally, I am the only person in the organization that is fluent in Arabic, meaning I deal with all Arabic-speaking clients whether this is talking to them over the phone or scheduling appointments in real life.
