SKILLS
ABOUT IMRAN ASHRAF
I\'m a telecoms professional with over 20 years of experience across electrical engineering, industrial R&D, product management, and technology strategy. I entered the industry in 2002, when 3G was on the horizon and mobile communications was clearly going somewhere — and I\'ve stayed close to the frontier of it ever since. My career has taken me across the full breadth of the discipline, which means I\'m comfortable moving between technical depth and business decision-making. Colleagues tend to come to me when they need complex problems structured clearly, or when they want a grounded view on where technology is heading and what it means in practice. Currently, my work sits at the intersection of mobile network strategy, RAN investment prioritisation, and AI adoption in mobile engineering — working across internal teams, Group counterparts at Liberty Global and Telefónica, and vendor partners to shape how VMO2\'s network evolves. Outside of work, I\'m passionate about sport and enjoy reading philosophy and exploring new perspectives. Always learning, on and off the field. Feel free to reach out if you want to talk mobile networks, strategy, or cricket.
