Let me tell you how I got here.An Indian boy good at maths, dutifully chasing the family-approved dream—become an actuary, join global consultancies, take 50 flights a year, handle billion-dollar balance sheets, and not blink when rounding off millions. During his very successful 20s, he discovers it’s not the Excel workbooks or financial models that drive him, but the stories behind the numbers. Storytelling, it turns out, is his real language.So he starts moonlighting as a writer-producer, helps get a couple of indie films made, takes a sabbatical to study filmmaking—and never looks back. Cue the expected Indian family melodrama: why give up a high-paying job in Bermuda, global travel, perks, bonuses, and a few promising marriage proposals? Who will marry the eldest son in the family now that he’s gone rogue?(that\'s a different story for another time;))But as every good film reminds us—the heart always knows its story.A decade later, here I am: seven completed and released features, one ready for distribution, another in post, one in pre-production, and several film and TV ideas in development. A journey powered by curiosity, monk-like patience, caffeine (recently more matcha and lion\'s mane), periods of adrenaline inducing intense activity, of course spreadsheets, and the belief that creativity and business don’t have to live separately.That’s the space I love to bridge—where financial discipline meets artistic risk, and every bold idea has a solid plan. Because great stories deserve both passion and sustainability.I founded Take The Shot Films and, five years later, joined Filmshake as Co-Founder—helping build a community and platform connecting creators, investors, and opportunities.Outside of film, I’ve run marathons, trained as a rescue diver (a badge I sadly lost after leaving Bermuda), love to dance, spend time with my kids, and invest in ventures that make a positive mark on the world.If you love films, investment ideas, running, diving, or simply swapping stories, please say hello.
