AKöR is a coordinating interface between civil society, academia and district authorities, connecting bottom-up with top-down initiatives across sectoral and formal boundaries. We support the implementation and activation of resilient, mixed-use and environmentally sound public spaces, aiming for a participative and responsible urban development for the common good. As \"Think Tank mit Umsetzungsmodus\", we collect street and scientific wisdom and form moments of cooperation as basis of trust for further implementation, aiming to bring theory into practice, e.g. as implementation partner of pop-up experiments, temporary playstreets, parklets as terraces of multiple uses and berlin kiezblocks.AKöR is co-initiator of the StadtWERKSTATT FK, a cooperative initiative for an organically growing process of collaborative urban development by civil society actors and the district council Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Within an intensive pilot phase in summer 2021 a wide range of discursive and hands-on workshops has been realized in the frame of Rathausblock redevelopment, asking how to foster collaborative city-making and create transsectoral cooperation. AKöR organized several activities around the implementation of Kiezblocks and different uses of public (street) space, e.g. with parklets.Currently, AKöR is supported by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) as local partner of Changing Cities e.V. in the project \"Transdisziplinäre Evaluation von Kiezblocks als städtebauliches Konzept zur Verkehrsberuhigung\" with Uni Heidelberg as lead partner.
