Imlimen Longchar is a Public Policy Practitioner focused on government advisory and policy advocacy. With a deep understanding of public systems and institutional frameworks, she works closely with the Government of Nagaland to design, implement, and evaluate policy initiatives aimed at strengthening governance and fostering inclusive development in the state. Several of these initiatives and policy recommendations have been taken forward, with some finding place in key planning and policy documents (and recently in the State Budget 2025 Document) Her professional journey has been defined by a commitment to evidence-based policy research and collaborative engagement with multiple stakeholders, both across and within the administration. During her tenure at the Office of the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland, she has contributed to a range of briefs and reports on various issues, scheme and project initiatives in the states, providing insights to inform key policy decisions. Currently, she is focused on mapping the MSME landscape in Nagaland to help shape an evidence-based roadmap for the future of enterprises in the region. Her core strength lies in capacity building, institutional strengthening, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E). She is driven by a professional ethos centered on bridging the gap between policy intent and on-ground implementation. Her work focuses on building institutional capacity, promoting good governance, and advocating for people-centric and sustainable policies.
