ABOUT IMANI VICTORIA BRYAN
I am guided by the wisdom of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” As a young professional working with diverse populations in the areas of Global Public Health, Policy Development, Community Capacity Building, and Program Sustainability, my response is eclectic. It can be found in the smile of a client who just received a free pair of prescription glasses, the excitement generated by students advocating for health equity, or my direct impact on breaking down barriers to basic health rights. Whether I am motivating undeserved individuals & communities to influence positive change, supporting grant and fundraising efforts by building impactful partnerships, or developing programs and policies that promote sustainable progress, I focus my leadership skills on implementing continuous improvement processes and best practices. My contributions include * Overseeing the Youth Activism Fellowship program that addressed leadership training gaps for young adults ages 18 to 24.* Obtaining external funds and in-kind donations through partnerships, grants and fundraising. I believe that professional development is a critical element of effective leadership. Knowing the problems and challenges directly impacting on the communities you serve and having the tools and resources to handle them are key elements in promoting sustainable change. I hold a Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Policy and Management and a BA in Anthropology with a concentration in Medical Humanities. I am currently pursuing a part-time Associate of Science in Nursing degree. If you would like to discuss Public Health Policy, Program-Building, and Health Equity, please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn. Specialties: Global Public Health, Health Policy, Health Programs, Community Capacity Building, Program Development & Sustainability, Leadership Development
