This PhD work will enable the acquisition of intellectual property on multi-band spintronic WuRx and a better control of spintronic technology and related rectification properties to adapt them to the needs of wireless sensor networks. It is a multidisciplinary thesis that will draw on the expertise of a CEA laboratory (INAC / Spintec for the realization and characterization of spintronic devices) and two laboratories of Grenoble Alpes University / Grenoble INP (RFIC lab for the design of RF circuits and the GIPSA-lab for the development of new radio communication techniques). The milestones for the thesis will be- Development of an electrical model of the nano-spintronic device - Electrical model of the network of devices - Development of the radio communication technique and wake-up protocol, modeling including the nano-device model, prediction of performances in different types of radio channels- Choice of receiver architecture - Circuit design - WuRx assembly with spintronic devices - WuRX tests and benchmarking

ABOUT IMADEDDINE BENDJEDDOU
Imadeddine BENDJEDDOU received a Master\'s degree in Wireless Integrated Circuits and Systems in 2019, and a PhD degree in Nanoelectronics and Nanotechnology from Grenoble Alpes University & Grenoble INP in 2023. He completed his PhD in collaboration with the French Atomic Energy Commission, Gipsa-lab, and TIMA Laboratory. His research focuses on studying and designing low-cost, low-power, and highly selective IoT receiver front-ends using various technologies, including N-path filters and Mixer-First Receivers, as well as alternative technologies such as magnetic tunnel junctions. In 2023, he joined TIMA Laboratory in Grenoble, France as a Research Engineer, where he continues to study and design N-path filters and Mixer-First Receivers.
