Campfire Stories is a collection of short stories to be read together around a fire. Volume I and Volume II are anthologies of tales, songs, ballads, legends, short stories and myths collected from the communities in and around 13 of America’s favorite national parks and scenic trails. The stories capture the essence of these lands and give a voice to the communities that share them—evoking deeper respect for these places. Campfire Stories: Vol I (released Aug 2018) is a best seller for Mountaineers Books, with over 70k copies sold to date at retailers such as REI, LL Bean, Parks Project, Anthropologie and at national park, gift and boutique stores across the USA. In our second collection, Campfire Stories: Vol II (released Apr 2023), contributors represent a range of rich and diverse voices, including from the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. It features award winning writers such as Lauret Savoy, Rae DelBianco, and Terry Tempest Williams; and newer voices including Derick Lugo, Rosette Royale, and Ed Bok Lee; and poet laureate, Rena Priest-who all share their unique perspectives on our national parks and trails. Campfire Stories Card Deck is a collection of 50 cards with storytelling prompts to help people of all ages find engaging and meaningful ways to tell their own stories with family and friends around the fire. And lastly, our follow-up Campfire Stories Deck–For Kids! is a collection of 50 cards with prompts to ignite kids imaginations and stories around the fire. The deck is divided into two sets: 25 character cards and 25 action cards, and storytellers are encouraged to draw a selection of cards to spark their story- Campfire Stories: Volume II (2023)- Campfire Stories: Volume I (2018)- Campfire Stories Card Deck (2021)- Campfire Stories Card Deck—for Kids!(2022)
