Ilona Duepper has almost two decades of experience in international cooperation, development, political and peace operations. Her work has taken her to Africa and the Middle East, where she has worked in both post-conflict and developing countries, including Chad, Liberia, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, and Iraq.Her roles have included strategic leadership, innovation and transformation, strategy development, operations and resources management, monitoring and evaluation, emergency and crisis response, mediation, partnerships, donor relations, and communications. She has also served as an independent analyst and researcher, focusing on global security cooperation, cybersecurity, digital diplomacy, and transparency in international organizations.Ilona’s academic background is appropriately versatile, with a Masters degree in International Public Policy and Administration (MPA), postgraduate studies in EU Law, Political Science, Human Rights, and a Bachelors degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. She is professionally certified in electoral assistance and observation (IDEA), Civil-Military Coordination (PHAP), as well as project management (Agile; PRINCE2; PMP; Lean Six Sigma).
