Silicon Valley Education Foundation partners with schools districts to offer Elevate [Math], a yearly summer intervention program to prepare students to successfully complete their next level Common Core math course. Elevate [Math]\'s goal is to support \"nearly meeting standard\" students in their math pathway, particularly those furthest from access and opportunity. Elevate [Math]\'s curriulum has been proven to be two times more effective than similar interventions and has more than doubled the level of algebra readiness among students. Some of my responsibilities include- teaching students, using a blended learning model, math curriculum that aligns with Common Core State Standards and Smarter Balance testing (SBAC)- ensuring meeting of goals for increasing student math understanding using pre-post assessment plans, formative assessments, attitudinal surveys, and rubrics- integrating technology (Google Suite, Nearpod, Padlet, Pear Deck, Popplet) to strengthen access and understanding to online curriculum and tools.
