I have 20+ years of experience communicating across various media platforms and languages with people from around the world. I started my career as a broadcast journalist working for companies like CNN International, Bloomberg, and local news outlets where I crafted the stories of people and organizations that spanned all topics and time zones.I currently work in international education at the largest university in North Carolina where I oversee the digital and content marketing strategy and implementation for our unit and our various student and professional programs. My current interests are utilizing new technology like VR/AR/AI to teach global communications and management skills. I recently spearheaded the development of virtual reality module that won the bronze medal in the 2018 International Serious Play Awards as well as the 2018 Campus Technology Impact Award.

   Since joining the GTI more than a decade ago, I helped the unit grow from a small enterprise of 1 full-time and 2 part-time employees with an annual revenue of $115K to a unit with 10 full-time staff members and dozens of part-time student and temporary employees with $1.5 million in annual revenues. Currently, I oversee the digital and content marketing strategy and implementation for the unit to establish the GTI and NC State University as a premier destination and source for global training and education.Part of what I do includes developing and incorporating new technology into GTI instructional content and growing our international cross-cultural competency training portfolio to help North Carolina businesses and organizations succeed in the global marketplace.
