ABOUT ILEANA SODANI

Ileana Sodani is responsible for instilling a sales culture and approach across the client facing securities servicing organisation by managing the sales execution, strategy and approach. In 2020 Ileana was recognised as 9th in the Top 20 Ethnic Minority Advocate Executive by 2020 Empower. Recognised as 6th in 2019 and 7th in 2018 of the top fifteen advocates for Diversity by EMpower. In 2019 also reached the Shortlist Ethnicity Awards Champion (Ally). Today she is passionate about giving back to the community and the future of the banking world by supporting and mentoring apprentices, supporting the education of analysts at J.P. Morgan and other J.P. Morgan sponsored mentorships across women entrepreneurs and the community. Ileana prior to J.P. Morgan was at BNY Mellon for over 30 years in various roles across the organization, with her latest roles being Deputy Head of Asset Servicing APAC, and prior Global Head of Client Sales. Her career positions also included being one of the Global Business Executives for Asset Servicing, the head of UK Financial Institutions within Global Client Management and up until November 2006 the head of European Client Management Administration. Before transferring from New York to London she held a number of roles including head of Cash Management sales for Southern Europe. Ms. Sodani joined The Bank of New York in October 1991. She retains a MBA from New York University Stern and avdegree from the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. She is a mother of two and an ironman. Ileana drives and executes upon strategic relationships. Multiple experiences in revamping business approaches and building foundational infrastructures for successful market approach. Highly skilled in developing and nurturing strategic client relationships on a global scale across institutional financial organisations and wealth industry. Strong background in credit, risk management and regulatory knowledge - CASS and Senior Management Regime. Financial acumen and experience in running P&L. Fully trained in emotional intelligence and drives success through teamwork.
