About Ilan Kedan
I’m a board-certified cardiologist with over two decades of experience advancing patient-centered care through innovation, research, and education. My work is guided by a simple belief: the best outcomes happen when patients areseen, heard, and supported—clinically and personally.After earning my MD from Tulane University and completing residency and fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis and Georgetown in Washington, DC, I spent over 18 years at Cedars-Sinai, where I cared for more than patients and served as a Professor of Cardiology at the Smidt Heart Institute. I also pioneered the use of handheld ultrasound technology in clinical cardiology, performing more than Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) exams to optimize chronic disease management and bring faster, more accurate diagnostics to the bedside.My clinical interests include cardiometabolic disease, preventive cardiology, and the use of emerging technologies to personalize care. I’m a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography and also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. My research has been published in leading journals, and I continue to mentor the next generation of physicians including cardiologists.Today, I lead Cardiolucent, a concierge cardiology practice in Beverly Hills built on a high-touch, low-volume model that prioritizes quality over quantity. By limiting the number of patients I see, I’m able to provide truly individualized care, combining advanced diagnostic tools, in-depth education, and continuous access to support long-term cardiovascular health.My specialty areas include General Cardiology, Echocardiography, Hospital Consultation, Preventive Cardiology, Cardiac Imaging, Cardiac Anatomy, and Longevity.
