SKILLS
ABOUT ISAAK CHERDAK
Proven Systems Engineer with 5+ years of experience and a strong background in system design, implementation, and enhancement. Major successes include comprehensive embedded programming for enterprise storage and wireless networking systems, as well as architecting and implementing a sensor data collection system for a greenhouse microgrid, and finally information infrastructure design contributions to a UN microgrid project. Also designed a robust grading system as well as provided exceptional tutoring services both publicly at university level and privately one-on-one.As for my working style, I take a very \"from the ground up\" and modular approach. I prefer to systematically build a product, so it is always integrated, end to end with all components, at any given time. In contrast I am opposed to rushing to achieve deadlines only to let technical debt, unmaintainable code, and unintegrated features become insurmountable obstacles over time. I have a strong tendency towards gaining insight into every nook and cranny of how a product and its integrated components function. More specifically, if I am working on a feature, I prefer to understand not only the feature I am working on, but also the implications of its interactions, before recommending changes be made.I am currently interested in transitioning into game architecture and systems development as I continue my venture into creating my own game development studio. This is something I am doing in my free time with no additional funding and while I have some partners that have their own creative specializations, we are looking for game designers with excellent vision for game feel to join as partners as well. Finally, I think it\'s work mentioning that I am a strong believer in remote work and am interested in contributing to a future where this is the norm for as many jobs as possible.
