About Nicole B.

My work experience surrounds administering, protecting, mining, exploring, manipulating, changing, and reporting on data using tools like SQL, SSMS, R, R Studio, Anaconda, Python, SQL, Tableau, PowerShell, PowerAutomate, and many other immerging tools, I can transform data into a compelling story. My current venture is providing excellent service to my employer as an Enterprise Database Engineer. My love for learning new technology enables me to combine multiple data tools to enhance the organization and my skill set. I want to further expand that passion in a data-driven environment at this organization which is just as determined as I am to keep up with an ever-changing culture. I am confident that incorporating 28+ years of database administration, leadership, teaching, and mentoring experience in and around SQL Server will be a great addition to the team. Given my passion for digging deeper into data to find the hidden \"gems\" and solve current and future issues will accomplish that goal and much more. I have an extraordinary ability to learn new tools and apply those newly learned skills to business requirements. Although SQL Server is my forte, I have experience in MySQL/PHP, some Oracle, Postgress, DB2, and many other RDBM and No SQL systems. I am very happy that my current employer is the perfect fit that checks all the boxes on my checklist, as was I on theirs. Here data rules, and we ingest it, wrangle it and tame it for our needs. It is an exciting adventure to say the least. I have many hobbies, ways to decompress, and ways of making the world a better place, one gem(student) at a time, but my favorites are spending time with my husband and best friend of 27+ years. Our two children and daughter, I.C, are grown and making a life in another state. Now, empty nesters, we raise ducks for eggs and kitties for smuggles. My passion for digging deeper for data provides the means for my passion for finding rough semi-precious gemstones and turning ordinary rocks into something extraordinary. The lapidary fever came shortly after a life-changing event in 2019. Today during my downtime, I teach piano, and I find semi-precious, rough gemstones by panning, rock hounding, or in shops. I have a keen ability to see worth in something or someone that looks ordinary from the outside. With skill and determination, I find the hidden beauty in each one I work with. My motto:\"When life gives you rocks, make them shine!\" Dig deeper, and you will find your gem. I hope we can network soon to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary together!
