Working with the Senior Information Compliance Officer regarding the receipt and administration of incident alerts.• Liaising with the Patient Safety Team’s Patient Safety Quality and Data Assurance Officers on incidents relating to patient safety. • Triage and give guidance and advice to staff on reported data security and protection incidents• Secure evidence relating to information incidents when required, whilst maintaining its integrity in line with forensic readiness best practice.• Conduct and Support activities in relation to 3rd suppliers, and due diligence regarding obligations set out in UK data protection legislation (UK General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018). • Working closely with colleagues within the team to ensure that the Trust works towards compliance with nationally recognised standards like ISO 27001 and NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit - Cyber Assurance Framework (DSPT–CAF)• Managing the Information compliance mailbox and responding to queries and advising on compliance-related issues. • Conduct various investigations, like incident and staff investigations, and write a comprehensive report to outline the investigation findings. • Support the Information Compliance manager in raising compliance awareness in the Trust through the writing of articles for publishing through the communication department. • Support the senior information compliance officer in gathering and reviewing evidence to support the submission of the annual NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit - Cyber Assurance Framework (DSPT–CAF)I support the NHS in safeguarding patient and staff information by leading on data protection investigations, compliance monitoring, and information governance best practice. I manage data incidents, Subject Access Requests (SARs), and DPIAs while ensuring compliance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, FOIA, and Caldicott Principles.

With a strong foundation in Law and compliance, I thrive in the information governance space, where legal insight, risk management, and data ethics intersect.I bring hands-on experience from the Tees, Esk, and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, where I supported GDPR compliance as a Data Protection Assistant, ensuring lawful access to patient records and aligning data protection practices with the highest regulatory standards.Currently, I serve as an Information Governance Officer at Onebright Limited—one of the UK’s leading private mental healthcare providers, with over clinicians nationwide.
