About Igor Vaisman
I am HII Fellow for Thermal Management and Vapor Cycle Technologies and ASHRAE Fellow. I hold a PhD degree in HVAC & R and Cryogenic Systems and a Mechanical Engineer degree in Cryogenics. My passion is solving problems, innovations, new technology and new product development. My experience includes research, development, steady-state and dynamic analysis, optimal design, prototyping, and testing of refrigeration, heat pump, air conditioning, ventilating, cryogenic, Rankine, Brayton, super-critical power generation, integrated power & thermal, and CHP systems & components for various land, sea, aerospace, and defense applications. In addition, my experience includes development, design, balancing, and commissioning of experimental & testing stands for thermal systems and components. Also, I have programming experience (MATLAB, SIMULINK, EES, Python, VB, VBA, C/C++, and FORTRAN) and designed various computational tools for steady-state and transient analysis, sizing and mapping thermal systems and components, and data reduction tools for data analyses. I published more than 20 papers and obtained more than 50 patents (excluding current pending patents). Membership: ASHRAE, IIR.
