Besides serving grant applications for federal funding, cost and benefit estimations also have contributed to making the case for transit to draw increased support from relevant stakeholders.• Analysis and estimation of financial, revenue, capital cost, and O&M cost implications that anticipated projects or policies may have in transportation agencies, State DOTs, counties, and cities. Design of business models for P3 initiatives, with the goal of attracting potential private stakeholders.• Contribution to regional- and state-level freight plans, analyzing past and future trends for economic indicators and conducting shift-share and location quotient analyses for the corresponding geographic scales.• Support for data management related to identifying, assessing, and prioritizing transportation planning projects within state- and local-level long-term plans.
