About Erin Iggy Svoboda

My first exposure to payroll was as a clerk in the food and beverage industry in Despite the complex union rules, I immediately fell in love with payroll because of the many lives it touches - including my own! Since then I have had my hand in every possible aspect of payroll and the related operations, from processing, to managing a team across the world, supporting payroll and HCM systems, project management of system upgrades and implementations, global mobility and expansion in over 20 countries.My global experience began in 2007 by designing and managing global operations at Gensler, a leading architecture and design firm. Later, in 2016, I was invited to join Clif Bar & Co to assist in growing their people operation strategy for global food manufacturing. Then in 2022 I joined to UKG to embody technology and contribute to innovations used to drive operations forward into the future.Being successful in payroll requires being a part of the bigger network beyond the boundaries of an employer. As an active member of Payroll Organization (PAYO) I support the wide professional network as a speaker, writer and volunteer of their strategic payroll leadership task force. I also believe technology will only improve by participation of the users, so I take time to engage with all external services providers as an active customer and partner for ongoing development.My passion for payroll and people is a high priority in my life, and I still find time for the other passions such as music, outdoors, art, and travel.
