ABOUT IFTIKHAR AHMED CHANNA
As a dedicated and innovative materials scientist, I bring over a decade of experience in academia and research. Also served as a Visiting Scientist at IMEET, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg/Solar Factory of the Future, contributing to pioneering research in Thin Film organic photovoltaics (OPV) and gas barrier coatings. In my role as an Associate Professor at NED University of Engineering and Technology, I lead the Thin Film Research Group, mentoring a dynamic team of doctoral and graduate students. My research focuses on thin film technology, where I have successfully secured significant funding, including HEC NRPU, Sindh Higher Education Commission, Pakistan Science Foundation and DAAD Germany grants as well as funding grant from Sultan Qaboos University Oman, for projects ranging from OPV, and biomedical implants to self-healing coatings.I hold a Doctorate in Engineering (Dr-Ing.) from Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, awarded with the prestigious \"Summa Cum Laude\" distinction. My academic journey is further enriched by a Master\'s in Materials Engineering and a Bachelor\'s in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. I am honored to have received numerous awards, including fully funded DAAD scholarships and Best Researcher Awards for three consecutive years by NED University. My certifications in Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO Quality Management, and specialized training in coating techniques and thin film vacuum systems enhance my ability to conduct high-quality, safe, and compliant research.I am passionate about fostering innovation and collaboration in materials science. Let\'s connect to explore opportunities for advancing research and technology in materials engineering.
