About Iftekhar Ahmed

Sophomore at Rice University studying Computer Science and Business Management. Also, actively doing research at Rice OEDK and Rice Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning (CERCL). I grew up with fewer resources and opportunities in Bangladesh which taught me how to build things with fewer resources. This unconventional upbringing ingrained in me an ingenuity born from scarcity, a knack for solving problems with what\'s available. This ingenuity manifested in projects like transforming a broken radio into an accessible pocket computer for the Blind using a discarded keyboard and Raspberry Pi, all housed in a humble shoebox. My average coding experience became enough to create the fastest virtual keyboard for the blind. I also founded a start-up called Brailly Tech Ltd. in Bangladesh where we provided technological solutions to the visually impaired and blind with the Bangladesh Ministry of Education which gave me cross-functional experience. Alongside I kept doing research on Cognitive Psychology, Human-computer Interaction, Wearable Technology, Assistive Technology, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and NFT-based Asset Tokenization which helped me to gain Product Design, Data Analytics, Research and Product Development skills.How do I get things done?Imagine a Chameleon, not just blending in, but actively reshaping according to its environment. That\'s how I approach every project. From product design to management, business model to marketing, research to analysis and crafting sleek interfaces to unravel the intricacies of bioinformatics, I adapt, I learn, I leave my mark.
