ABOUT IFTAKHAR K.

My journey into biology began with a moment of discovery in the school library, where I stumbled upon a hypothesis suggesting that menopause played a role in human evolution as a K-selected species. This sparked my fascination with how evolutionary science and physiology are interconnected. My passion grew even further after a chance encounter with a child with Down syndrome, which ignited my interest in genetics. The more I learned about chromosomal abnormalities, the more captivated I became by the mechanisms behind genetic disorders. As I delved deeper into genetics, I realized how it intersects with fields like genomics, bioinformatics, and synthetic biology. I came to understand that genetics isn\'t just about studying DNA—it’s about unlocking insights that drive medical advancements, from stem cell research to personalized therapies. This realization has deepened my desire to pursue a career focused on understanding diseases at a molecular level and contributing to the development of new treatments.Though an undergraduate, my commitment to this path is unwavering. I\'m here on LinkedIn to connect with pioneers in the field, learn from their experiences, and ultimately be part of a lasting legacy of biomedical advancements.
