Star Girls Africa is a student-run initiative focused on creating an inclusive community where young African girls feel empowered, inspired, and confident to become future leaders in STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts & Mathematics). Follow our IG Page: our Linkedin Page: Currently managing the activities of 10 team members remotely across 7 different countries to advance our mission- Organizing 2nd edition of our free 3-week virtual summer program called TheSummerofAStarGirl aimed at equipping African girls between the ages of 13-19 with skills in Electronics, Web Development, Scientific Communication & Entrepreneurial Leadership. Our summer program\'s maiden edition trained over 70 African girls to become future leaders in STEAM- Conducted extensive research to develop a problem-centered curriculum for our four summer course offerings. Students are exploring different ways to apply their newly learned STEAM skills to build projects that positively impact the African continent- Managed the recruitment of experienced course facilitators and collaborated with them to design engaging lesson activities- Facilitated important partnerships & relationships and also secured grants from organizations like the African Leadership Academy to help us support more African girls to pursue STEAM.
