ABOUT IEVGEN TSYGANKOV

I’m a Senior Product Manager at Siemens Ruggedcom, specializing in secure remote access and digital substation networking for the power sector. With 15+ years in energy automation and 10+ years working with IEC 61850 standards and digital substations, I am leading products that help utilities modernize substations, strengthen cybersecurity, and achieve regulatory compliance. My portfolio includes the secure remote access software platform RUGGEDCOM CROSSBOW (supporting utilities worldwide in meeting NERC CIP and IEC 62443 compliance while reducing operational costs) as well as a broad set of industrial networking solutions including Layer 2 switches, serial servers, media converters, and the SFP portfolio. I am also an active member of IEC/TC57 WG10, contributing to the global evolution of IEC 61850 standards. Beyond product delivery, I focus on measurable impact: enabling adoption by major utilities, supporting product revenue growth, and strengthening Siemens’ role in the digital substation ecosystem. I apply core product management practices such as roadmap planning, customer discovery interviews, and strategy development to align innovation with utility needs. I represent Siemens at industry events such as DISTRIBUTECH, the IEC 61850 IOP (Plug Fests), and the Canada Protection Symposium, sharing insights and driving collaboration across the sector. Looking ahead, I am expanding my expertise through the University of Toronto’s Artificial Intelligence Certificate. My vision is to bridge deep OT/utility expertise with AI-driven innovation to future-proof critical infrastructure while creating new business value.
