About Ielaf Altoma
As a coach, educator and an advocate, I am dedicated to empowering individuals to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve their educational and career goals. I believe every individual regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, abilities, socio-economic background should have the same opportunities for success. I recognize there are systemic and psychological obstacles that often get in the way of achieving those goals, but I also understand the power that mentorship has in helping people navigate such obstacles and see their resilience. From being Refugee from Iraq who grew up in poverty, to receiving my Masters at a Harvard University, I have developed a unique perspective and privileges that I intend to use to inspire, support and advocate for others, specifically marginalized communities.
