I come from a very non-traditional background, first-generation American, first-generation college student, and sort of self-taught software engineer. As a Latinx in tech, and in life, I overcame and learned from many struggles. I am an individual who is hungry for knowledge and have a self-drive that has got me to the opportunities that have brought me the hands-on experience I possess.I spend most of my time learning about new things that could potentially help me improve and to become a better engineer. I also spend a lot of time helping other individuals that come from underrepresented communities to navigate their options, encouraging them to keep going, and that although it is hard, it is not impossible. I also enjoy learning about their different backgrounds and stories that each one of us has, and makes us unique.    Served as the SME for setting up the dev environment, onboarding 60+ engineers to Amazon Workspaces, and guiding them through setup and configuration.• Led technical debt reduction efforts by removing hardcoded values, avoiding code repetition, streamlining updates, and enhancing performance. Utilized Scala, Bash, Java.• Contributed to an API review committee, collaboratively reviewing and approving API designs to ensure alignment with coding standards, project consistency, and industry best practices.• Established a standardized process for commits, branches, and documentation by implementing GitHub pull request templates and Git hooks, improving consistency and tracking across 10+ services and clients.
