ABOUT IDIL EZGI KARAASLAN
My journey into astrophysics began not just with science, but with philosophy; questioning existence, time, and the vast unknown. During my studies, my fascination evolved. At first, I sought to understand the universe as we knew it, but soon, I realized most of it remains hidden, waiting to be explored. The pursuit of the unknown became my driving force.While pursuing my MSc in Astrophysics & Cosmology at the University of Padova, I worked with data analysis, coding, and modeling. I developed skills such as handling complex datasets, identifying patterns, and drawing conclusions from uncertainty. Currently working as a research fellow at the University of Milano-Bicocca within the research group of Prof. Federico Nati, contributing to research on CMB theory, simulations, and data analysis in the context of the calibration of the absolute rotation angle of CMB polarimeters, analysis of angular power spectra and TB/EB correlations, and the development of statistical estimators of the rotation angle for cosmic birefringence.
