ABOUT IDA KHODAMI
Electrical engineer by training, entrepreneur by instinct, and investor by experience, I bring over two decades of leadership across engineering, operations, and strategy in the genomics, biotech, and tech sectors. My journey began with founding a Canadian MedTech startup, followed by 12 transformative years at Illumina, where I led product development and global operations, FDA submissions, and international expansion. One of my proudest achievements was building and leading the validation consortium that secured FDA approval for the first-ever Next-Generation Sequencing platform, MiSeqDX. I also spearheaded global strategy and operations for the direct-to-consumer genomics market. At TBC, I helped raise our fund and deploy it across 13 seed and Series A startups, led investments, and took observer board roles in transformative early-stage companies.Passionate about interdisciplinary innovation and lifelong learning, I’m driven to help the next generation of company builders create high-impact ventures with lasting value.
