Led the end-to-end implementation of a Layer 3.5 data stream pipeline, integrating Human-Machine Interface (HMI) devices in the field to the cloud. Architected data flow via Edge, Azure IoT Hub, and Event Hub into Databricks, through Layer 2 with a custom-designed operational data platform (ODP) architecture.• Hands on keyboard development of for infrastructure as code via terraform.• Successfully published streaming data from field operations to the enterprise data platform (EDP) in the cloud• Implemented an Azure DevOps-hosted agent pool to support deployment pipelines. Designed and deployed full networking infrastructure to isolate the ODP and EDP environments from each other and the public internet, using VNet peering and Palo Alto firewalls to allow controlled traffic inspection and secure cross-environment communication.• Integrated with SCADA systems to read tag data via ODP and publish it to the EDP, enabling business intelligence consumption in Power BI. This included both known operational tags as well as alarms and event detail data from the OT (Operational Technology) layer.
