I have 15+ years of commitment to social, economic, gender, and racial equity through leading successful programs for community development, grantmaking, and civic engagement in Puerto Rico and the United States, particularly in underserved communities. I am a creative and analytical thinker, an effective implementer, and a politically savvy coalition builder with proven abilities to drive an agenda, coach leaders, and facilitate teamwork. I also have extensive experience connecting people, ideas, opportunities, and resources and engaging and convening diverse audiences and leaders across multiple sectors in English and Spanish. Martin Luther King, Jr. taught us that “power, properly understood, is the ability to achieve purpose.” I seek and create opportunities to help leaders, communities, and organizations effectively engage in community practices (vision, leadership, inclusion, performance) that enhance capacity and impact to achieve purpose.
