I am a network engineer, designer, and architect with over 23 years of experience across the oil, gas, maritime, telecommunications, broadcasting, finance, and vendor sectors. I began my career in the UK and The Netherlands, leading projects for 12 years before transitioning to the USA, where I have spent the past 11 years, including the last 8 with Cisco Systems.At Cisco, I started in 2016 as a resident engineer with CenturyLink in Minnesota, managing a national network of thousands of ASR9K, 6500, and 7600 routers supporting MPLS-TE, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, L2VPN, and L3VPN technologies. Following the CenturyLink-Level3 merger that formed Lumen, I joined the Dish project in 2022 as an implementation engineer on a greenfield 5G segment routing initiative. I then contributed concurrently as a Network Architect and Designer at AT & T and as a Migration Engineer at T-Mobile. Currently, I serve as a core routing and switching engineer on the Gilead migration project, overseeing network design and implementation, including BOM creation, LAN/WAN diagrams, cable matrices, port mappings, IP addressing schemes, rack elevation designs, NRFU, and MOPs, while integrating SDWAN, wireless, and routing/switching technologies.I hold qualifications and certifications such as BSc, MBCS, A+, MCP, CCNA, CCNP, CCIP, CCDE (written), and CCIE SP (#48241). I have attempted the CCDE lab exam and preparing for the updated lab featuring AI for bandwidth and QoS optimization. I am also set to take the SDWAN Specialist exam at the end of March and the DevNet Associate exam by mid-2025. My international career has earned me multiple passports, including UK, USA and Sierra Leone citizenships as well as the reduced 30% tax ruling in The Netherlands.Based in Minnesota, I am married with five children and maintain an active lifestyle. My personal interests include certifications in beekeeping and broiler poultry farming while pursuing a certification in goat farming.
