Responsibilities include assisting the Head of Trade in managing a team to deliver high quality service/support to Corporate/Retail Clients by ensuring trade finance activities are carried out in a timely and accurate manner, are in compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements and meet TD compliance policies and procedures affecting the business area. Highlights include• Examining documents as per UCP, ISBP & URC Rules while having in depth understanding of Trade Finance operational functions.• Providing subject matter expertise and procedural reference regarding the technical aspects of documentary audit. • Ensuring all aspects of the customers trade finance needs are addressed in a manner consistent with TD Service Level Agreements and Complaint Resolution Standards• Identifying potential risks including processing gaps• Actively participating in developing, testing and implementing new or enhanced process improvement initiatives that helps increasing the efficiency and quality of the team\'s work/outputs.• Demonstrating strong process management skills and understanding of regulations• Escalating non-standard, high risk or other activities as per AML Enhanced Due Diligence and Anti-Boycott Procedures • Handling inquiries from branches, internal departments, external correspondent banks, TD Securities offshore offices• Executing ad-hoc requests• Ensuring that all job-related assignments/projects which are periodically assigned by department head/management are completed expeditiously.• Managing client and bank correspondence while developing and maintaining working relationships with Corporate/Retail Clients• Collaborating with clients and RMs to structure optimum credit-based solutions within TD risk appetite and lending parameters and to assess exception lending values request and policy exceptions• Participating fully as a member of the team and helping other regional office locations when necessary.
