ABOUT IBRAHIM SHAER
I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Western University. My academic research focused on topics related to explainable Artificial Intelligence, optimization of Federated Learning paradigms, and anomaly detection applied to the optimization of climate systems. I also earned my Master of Engineering Science degree from Western University. I completed my Bachelor of Computer Science from the American University of Beirut. In my practical practice as a Machine Learning Engineer at Castle Ridge Asset Management, I designed a proprietary Barra-style Risk Model that explains the firm\'s idiosyncratic returns, underscoring its differentiated investment approach. In addition, I built a pod orchestration strategy that balances risk minimization with alpha generation.
