Final-year internship – Modeling & Control of a BLDC motor as part of the eTaxi project Objective: Contribute to aviation decarbonization by developing an electric taxiing system for turboprop aircraft. Multi-physics modeling of a BLDC motor (Brushless DC Motor) and its controller using MATLAB/Simulink, OpenModelica, and PSIM, with a comparative analysis of platform performance. Simulation of operational scenarios to verify system behavior, validate performance, and identify areas for improvement. Model calibration using experimental data to ensure accurate representation of real-world system behavior. Design and validation of a control law to ensure system stability and performance across different use cases.
