Project management was fragmented and patchy due to having no common approach or training for those managing projects. Those with project management responsibility were lacking confidence and clear guidelines on what they were expected to do.I increased the Group\'s ability to be effective and joined-up by creating a common project managment framework in the form of the Better Projects Handbook, covering governance, skills, techniques and a common language.I increased the confidence, knowledge and skill of those with project management responsibilitiies by delivering a programme of one-day training courses across the Group\'s locations.
