Bright Field Consulting helps to identify challenges faced by school, academy and college leaders in building and maintaining their strategic direction. Through a unique blend of facilitation, coaching and bespoke interventions we help to design solutions to these challenges. We work with school leaders, young people, families and carers across all phases to enable and support our clients to work effectively in building futures for the young people and the communities they serve.“As an organisation we believe that young people should be given the opportunity to achieve more than they think is possible. We achieve this through individual coaching. We were looking to provide our colleagues with a similar opportunity to achieve beyond their imagination. Bright Field has brought both pedagogic and coaching skills together to forge a powerful and effective programme which is inspiring our leadership, teaching and support staff. ABOUT IAN WIGSTON

My journey into education leadership began when I spoke at a conference in California and met two founders of a new Charter School, who asked me to work with their leaders and teachers to help create the strategy and ethos for the school. The essence of what I saw then was that education consulting was very average. My belief then and now is that our childrens’ futures are too important not to have the very best. At Bright Field Consulting we work with head teachers or Principals who are strongly values driven, with a commitment to young people as well as to supporting and developing their colleagues. Our clients typically have a clear direction and are willing to learn and go on a journey of self discovery to achieve their aims. When we come to work together our clients may be experiencing difficulty in these areas: → Honing their leadership skills → Getting disengaged middle leaders to work effectively → Engaging with hard to reach parents We have forged strong and beneficial links with the school leaders we have worked with over several years, building their trust through an understanding and appreciation of the challenges they face day to day. We ally this knowledge with a range of tools and processes which have been forged in the corporate world, and which we have translated appropriately into education. Our specialities are: Understanding personality (via Insights Discovery profiling) Enabling potential Building engagement The results our clients have experienced include: Greater understanding and awareness of themselves, colleagues and significant stakeholders Improved relationships with governing bodies parents and staff More strategic and longer term perspective More effective leadership teams, which in turn has had a positive impact on: School performance Student experience School reputation For a free Insights Discovery profile to discover who you are as a leader, contact me directly on i••••••••@brightfield-consulting.com
