About Ian Swedish
I am a leader in the nonprofit space, providing over 20 years of experience overlapping support in the business world, nonprofit, and political sectors as a consultant and nonprofit manager. My skills lay at the intersection of data and fundraising strategy, building innovative and sector-leading philanthropy strategies. I’m a partner at CCS. We are a leading strategic consulting and fundraising management firm for nonprofit and social impact organizations. Since 2010, I’ve counseled nonprofit clients in strategic planning initiatives, feasibility analysis, campaign management, data analytics, capital campaigns, and broad scale plan activation. My work has put me in contact with some incredible business leaders and philanthropists. I serve as a board member for various organizations working in the nonprofit and education space in Philadelphia. I believe deeply in giving back to our community and providing a safe space for our children to grow and learn.Additionally, I am on the board of a private family foundation guiding strategy for over $50M in assets and its annual philanthropic distribution. I lead the distribution strategy, as well as identify and evaluate charities. We strive to support charities across the globe, by creating a more socially equitable, inclusive, and just world through the lens of education and opportunity.I hold an MBA and MPP from the Ross School of Business and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and I received a BA in Philosophy from the University of Vermont.Outside of my work, I enjoy almost all outdoor activities, to include skiing, surfing, golfing, fly fishing, and camping. I’m also an avid global traveler, wine lover, and cultural enthusiast. I’m an active member of the community as a volunteer and foster parent. I currently reside in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia with my wife and daughter. I’m interested in connecting with anyone in the nonprofit sector and in Philadelphia.
