As a servant leader I use my experience of agile, KanBan and scrum to help the two teams I serve continually improve the way we work together and with other teams.I mentor engineers in continuous improvement and problem solving, resulting in greatervelocity, quality and predictability. I use GROW coaching to help engineers identify true root causes and design appropriate solutions.My superpower is relentless optimism. I help create change by pointing out the best behavior as a model for others instead of emphasizing opportunities for improvement. This helps teams build the desire and courage for real change, as evidenced by the many improvements the teams I serve have already experienced.When an engineer showed interest in the Product Owner role, I coached him into this role, adding to the clarity and value of user stories for the team.Following my passion, I constantly grow my technical expertise, demonstrated by my long history of building and supporting applications in my work and as a personal pursuit. This technical grounding builds respect from engineers and makes me a partner with engineers in resolving problems and impediments. I mentor engineers in Python, build features in Python where the team needs it and build coding challenges on codechalleng.esA strong believer in innovation, I have been a member of 2 winning Hackathon teams. In one, I played the role of scrum leader and \'data wrangler\'. The idea we progressed went on to become a key component of the enterprise\'s strategy. Recently, I played scrum leader and lead developer / coding coach in a Hackathon that generated a Python based support dashboard. I look forward to seeing it evolve into a fully functional production system.What a wonderful way to live my dream!
