Present 150+ year history of a Free Black community and its last surviving homes to 2nd-12th grade field trip groups and museum visitors. Employ inquiry-based rather than didactic models to engage students and visitors actively in the process of decoding the historic site.• Leading and facilitating U.S. History and Artmaking activities in a classroom setting adapted to the age level of student participants.• Designing new activities for an expanded curriculum, including a sensory mapping activity, a primer to develop literacy in architectural drawings, and a landscape scavenger hunt.
