About Ian L.
Serving as a Senior Legal Assistant with the Ohio Lottery Commission, my role involves critical legal support and ensuring administrative rules are in compliance and align with agency directives and legislation. With expertise in criminal investigations and a knack for developing robust compliance frameworks, I\'ve also assisted in the successful launch of type C sports gaming in Ohio. The Ohio Lottery Commission has benefited from my dedicated oversight in investigations and sports gaming regulation, where my capabilities in problem solving and collaboration have been pivotal. Our team has established comprehensive compliance plans, internal controls, and setting a new standard for the integrity and legal conformity of Type C sports gaming operations.Prior to my work with the Ohio Lottery, I worked in a law enforcement capacity as a police detective. Working independently and on teams to ensure critical investigations were completed. As an agency training officer, I worked with newly hired officers to ensure that they met agency standards on integrity and ethics, as well as developed the necessary skills to police the community. Through collaboration and effective policing strategies, we developed new community programs and wrote procedures to ensure continued success.
