Manager and technical lead of New Product Introduction at Antora Energy. This is team is a combination of what is traditionally called Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Engineering, and Facilities Engineering. Our inputs are the business needs (units per quarter, total cost) and product design (engineering drawings, validation requirements); our output is a fully functional pilot factory that fulfills the throughput, yield, and cost targets of Antora.Core Competencies & Deliverables of the team include:Leading prototype builds to deliver engineering articles on-schedule and at the desired configuration/quality.Successful transition from first-builds to final yield/quality, throughput, and cost model (as it related to MFG process) for a particular assembly.Blank-sheet process definition through full-capacity manufacturing cell activation (problem statement, CoDR, PDR, CDR, Drawings, Build/Commissioning, First-use, Full-capacity-use).Defining the use of heavy industrial equipment for production processes and acquisition/activation of said equipment (cranes, air bearings, straddle-carrier, etc).Defining facilities requirements including power, compressed air supply, door locations, etc.Generation-of and maintenance-of work instructions and product validation plans.Direct and indirect operations support (redlining, resolution of issues, admin control of MES or PLM, etc)
