He serves on the Dane County Strategic Housing Committee, contributing to countywide housing policy discussions that center affordability, accessibility, and sustainable growth.He also serves as Financial Literacy & Housing Manager for the Black Men Coalition Foundation of Dane County, where he oversees supportive housing and workforce housing programs. Through the Foundation’s “Banking Unity for the Community” initiative, Ian partners with local institutions—including Summit Credit Union and Old National Bank—to bridge the gap for unbanked residents, providing financial literacy education and helping build long-term banking relationships.Ian is also deeply involved with Own It — Building Black Wealth, a nationally recognized initiative that helps reduce racial disparities in homeownership. Through down payment assistance grants and community education forums, Own It empowers individuals to take their first steps toward homeownership and generational wealth building.Whether guiding first-time buyers, advising investors, or shaping policy, Ian is committed to creating pathways to homeownership that strengthen both families and the broader community.
