ABOUT IAN WALKER
I have been on the catering and hospitality sector for 40+ year.I have worked all over the UK and race course, football stadiums, staff canteens to name but a few.I have cooked for the late queen Elizabeth, the prince of Dubai as well as the cast and crew of Emmerdale.The last 15 years I have been teaching catering at a various locations the most recents is Nottingham college, where i work with a fantastic team of lecturers all with industry experiance.I teach level 1 and Entry level, and all these students have SEND special educational needs, and this is were my passion lies for teaching.These student needs a lot of support and they often say to me that they can not achieve.Because mainstream education as let them down.So I have to build self confidance as well as help them achieve their potential.I have been awarded Chef/ Tutor of the year 2024 from the British Culinary Federation a title i am extreamly proud of.
