ABOUT IAN VAN HUYSSTEEN

I am a motivated individual who consistently raises the bar in whatever I do. I like to challenge the status quo and I want to help shape the future of finance by changing the way things are currently done. I believe the strength of an organization lies not only in its brand, but also in its culture and people. That is why I feel that a team that feels valued and empowered delivers their best work and I actively try to develop their professional and personal abilities.I started with Deloitte over 11 years ago and have served in various positions, including Audit Manager and Head of Finance & Financial Controller for Southern Africa. In my current role as Senior Manager for Deloitte Consulting, I help Finance Executives elevate their role through innovative strategies, planning and tactical execution and oversee diverse project teams to manage the expected outcome.I\'m highly skilled in IFRS, Exco reporting, finance transformation, system implementations, financial planning and analysis, cash flow, managerial finance etc. I am a well-rounded individual with excellent technical, analytical, communication and people skills. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, going to gym and planning new experiences with my wife. I graduated top of my class from the North-West University with a honors degree in Accounting and I was also a top 10 candidate in the SAICA board exam.It is important for me to be part of a multi-national organization and which offers the chance to gain international experience. By sharing know-how and knowledge in a global network an organization can ensure that it remains ahead of the game.
