Responsible for all elements of Workplace and building fit outs / decommissions within abrdn Investments along with management of operational and non-operational offices.Summary of responsibilities – • Managing onsite teams at multiple sites in UK and well as overseeing 3rd party partners providing core Workplace and Moves and Changes services (ISS and Pickfords primarily).• Health and Safety for UK.• Soft Services throughout estate.• Hard Services throughout operational and non-op estate.• Overall responsibility for IoT / Smart Sensor Applications throughout UK Offices along with production of associated reports using this and swipe data.• Work with global estate surveyor to ensure best use of offices globally.• Fit out of offices (recent example being 1 Broadway Park, Edinburgh)• Managing end to end decommission of offices including recent decommission of 6 St Andrew Square, Edinburgh and Queens Terrace, Aberdeen.• Working with senior stakeholders to ensure best use of abrdn property assets.• Long term input into abrdn UK office strategy to ensure abrdn are prepared for lease changes / lease terminations in the medium to long term.• Manage annual BAU budget of £20m+ in addition to strategic fit out / decommission project budgets.

In my role as Head of Workplace & Premises I am responsible for managing all Workplace activities in our UK offices with overview of all abrdn Investments global offices. In addition I manage all building refits, renovations and moves and contribute to abrdn Investments property strategy. I am an experienced and versatile Workplace and Premises Leader as well as a Programme / Project Manager with an extensive track record in delivering Facilities / Workplace / Premises Projects, IT Infrastructure Projects, IT Premises Projects and IT Application Development Projects on time and within budget.I have delivered multiple, multi-million pound, cross functional projects within timelines and on budget using both onshore and offshore technical resource. In addition I have experience of delivering multiple BAU projects to tight delivery schedules and budgets. Extensive experience in both commissioning and decommissioning offices in the UK and Globally, both from an IT perspective and from a WorkPlace / Facilities perspective. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in developing successful supplier relationships, and am able to face off to both business and IT colleagues at all levels throughout the business.
