Ian has 30 years of experience working in the computing and system integration business. His expertise encompasses all elements of the technology domain ranging from the network connectivity services to the hosting and optimisation of typical business processes within the broad range of government and private sector organizations.Ian is passionate about defining innovative solutions using technology to solve the real-life business challenges. Part of that drive is to ensure a roadmap to the ubiquitous fixed and mobile programmable network that enables a truly unified workplace for the UK’s major corporate organizations.During the past 10 years Ian has lead architecture and design authority roles in complex programmes for the Department for Work and Pensions, Police and the NHS National Programme for IT. These roles have encompassed all elements of the delivery lifecycle. Ian’s extended period working as lead Service Architect was a defining part of his career as it provided real practical knowledge and proved the need to make trade-off decisions between the commercial and customer experience perspectives of a major public sector contract.Ian graduated from Sunderland University with an Honours Degree in Digital Systems Engineering and has a Diploma in Business Consulting. He’s based in the North East of England with key interests around Cycling, Skiing and Football.
