About Ian Scott

Ian has 20+ years of experience in a variety of nonprofit and educational leadership roles. Prior to ANet, he was Vice President at FUSE Corps, partnering with local government leaders to launch initiatives aimed at tackling racial inequities in housing, health care, public safety, climate justice and economic development. Ian was also a Partner and Senior Strategist at TNTP. He worked closely with state education agencies, school districts, and charter management organizations in urban and rural communities across the country, designing and leading initiatives addressing critical human capital challenges, school leadership development, district transformation, and professional learning. Ian was also director of the Indianapolis Teaching Fellows program, recruiting and training more than 200 new teachers for high-need schools across the state. He began his career as a special education teacher in Austin, TX.Ian earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in Arabic and political science. He recently served as a member of the board of trustees for Prospect Hill Academy Charter School in Cambridge, MA.
