ABOUT IAN RUSH
My primary focus is making automation - Industrial and Cyber - accessible to manufacturing companies of all sizes. I organize events in South Carolina, Arizona-and others currently under development- that gather the “Doers” in the Industrial Automation Industry. These gatherings bring together engineers, technicians, and leadership from manufacturing and maintenance teams statewide. Attendance is complimentary and entirely self-funded to maintain a relaxed atmosphere.(No sponsors, no presentations; ever*!)*While we occasionally participate in sponsored events (e.g, trade shows with significant hosting fees, interactive workshops), our core event -The Happy Hour- does not accept sponsorship. These events also serve as a bridge between owners, operators, founders, and CEOs of SMB manufacturing companies.(i.e. Owners & Operators of Small and Medium size manufacturing companies can access the greatest talent pool in the automation industry, for free.)Side effects may include:Camaraderie may be built among “Doers of Automation” Engineer and Maintenance, Manager and Technician will sit together for hours; talking about life, work, and the pursuit of happiness. Senior manufacturing business leaders may connect with leading industrial automation professionals. Bridges may be built between business and technical Teams.Industrial automation may look and feel approachable and attainable. Young people may find their calling in life.Seasoned folks may remember why they fell in love with the Game, and built their career around it!Barriers to entry in the Industrial Automation game may be lowered. Business owners and operators may come to understand how Automation fits in their business before embarking on projects. If you lead a manufacturing company:I invite you and your team to join us and meet individuals specializing in resolving your most pressing operational challenges.
