Managing Director at AFC Telford United Foundation | Chair of Licensing, Telford & Wrekin Council | Borough Councillor | Chair, Great Dawley Town Council | Director, Shropshire FA | Former Mayor | Educator | Champion for Inclusive Sport & InclusionI’m driven by a simple belief: sport changes lives.As Managing Director of the AFC Telford United Foundation, I lead one of the region’s most impactful community organisations — delivering 36 programmes that support children, young people, families, veterans, disabled participants, and those facing hardship.We use football as a tool to improve health, reduce isolation, build confidence, and create positive pathways. Our work reaches thousands of people every month, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come — from a small organisation with limited resources to a thriving foundation at the heart of the community.Alongside this, I serve as: • Borough Councillor, Telford & Wrekin Council • Chair of Licensing, Telford & Wrekin Council • Chair, Great Dawley Town Council • Director, Shropshire Football Association • Former Mayor of Telford & WrekinThese roles allow me to be deeply connected to the people and places I serve — shaping policy, championing fairness, and advocating for opportunity for all.Before my leadership roles, I spent over 14 years as a teacher and lecturer, leading departments and writing inclusive education programmes that helped young people overcome barriers and thrive. Education remains central to everything I do.I’m also the founder of Give Someone a Sporting Chance, which redistributes sports kit to families who need support — ensuring cost never prevents a child from taking part.In 2012, I was honoured to be selected as an Olympic Torchbearer for services to grassroots sport and community impact.My work — across sport, local government, education, and charity — is rooted in one purpose:to build stronger, kinder, more connected communities.If you share that mission — I’d love to connect.
