ABOUT IAN PEARCE

I have over twenty years of combined retail and digital experience within the betting and gaming sector, stretching across a number of channels. I lead the Trading Support department for all brands across the Entain Group. It is a central hub that works with a wide variety of teams to assist them with all aspects of trading operations. It is also a key point of contact for other teams around the business outside of Trading as well as third party providers.I joined the Trading Support Department in September 2018 and I helped massively with it\'s growth from a Ladbrokes Coral team to one that is embedded firmly within the Entain business after the takeover by Entain. In October 2021 I was promoted to Head of Department to lead this department.Following the merger of Ladbrokes and Coral in 2016, I was responsible for the day-to-day management of the Ladbrokes Retail Data Operations department. This involved adapting to and learning a complete new role in amongst the challenges of business relocation and forming a new team. As Trading and Operations Team Leader, two core responsibilities of mine were:• Ensure the department promptly and accurately displays information onto the screens within Ladbrokes shops. • Responsible for the results and accuracy of the information that goes to the Epos till system in the Ladbrokes shop estate. Prior to this role, I lead the vital Racing Production team for Ladbrokes E-gaming. In this position, I made a crucial difference to the horse and greyhound racing content on the website and the customer experience, especially in regard to the settlement of bets. As the role expanded, in addition to my routine responsibilities, my involvement with all aspects of the Ladbrokes Sportsbook (website) delivery increased significantly. Previous to taking the steps into the digital business I was a DSP (Area Manager) for Ladbrokes. For six years I managed a number of shops across the South and South East of England; a key achievement in this role was managing the full Ladbrokes retail operation at Royal Ascot.
